UFL I WEEK 4 PREVIEW
As the hysteria surrounding the climax of our American sister league's schedule dies away, the staff of the UFL would like to send our commiserations to the Atlanta Falcons and hearty congratulation's to the victorious New England Patriots. It was a game for the ages, but now must take second place to the return of the mighty UFL I after our mid season break.
The athletes of the UFL have had no break from hard work though and the national spotlight still shone on them during the hiatus when we allowed in the BBC's cameras for the visit of Blue Peter, keen to showcase the Academy's blue ribbon league.
But, channelling the spirit of Bill Bellichick, the UFL head coaches are solely focused on the next game up - and what a brace of contests we have. This Saturday we reverse the fixtures of week One, which saw the Hawks outlast the Mavericks and the Wolf Pack edge out the Thunder in a shoot out that would not have been out of place in a Wild West saloon.
How things have changed since though: The Hawks won in week one, but that has been their sole victory this season. But the Mavericks are coming off their first win of the year in week three which came against the previously unbeaten Wolf Pack. For the fighting cattle, the mid season break came at precisely the wrong time and they will be hopeful that they have not lost momentum. Expect nothing here, this could go either way and exactly the same can be said of the game on the other field this week.
The result of this game will decide who goes into week 5 on top of the leader board and both the Thunder, who are on a 2 game winning streak themselves and the Wolf pack, coming off a shock loss in week three to the Mavs, are sure to provide yet another dazzling display of fireworks.
