ULTIMATE FLAG LEAGUE
The ultimate experience for boys and girls aged 5 to 14, we play Flag American Football which is the fast and exciting non contact version of the game.
The UFL is founded on the three foundations of the Academy, Respect, Competition and Enjoyment.
Based at the Headingley campus of Leeds Beckett University we play all year round, with sessions on Saturdays from 11.00 to 12.30

About Us
Founded by the Leeds Academy of American Football in 2016, the Ultimate Flag League has provided a safe and inclusive way for children in the Leeds City Region to enjoy one of the fastest growing sports in the UK.
We wanted to give children aged 5 to 14 years old a way to experience the thrill, competition and fun of playing the game of American Football. To replicate what they see in the NFL, we mirror their system of a combine, draft, regular season and bowl game so that children of all shapes and sizes can contribute in a team environment, whilst still being able to have a whole lot of fun.
Ultimate Flag League is overseen by the Leeds Beckett Univerity's Carnegie Junior Sports Academy, so you know your child will be on a safe campus, overseen by trained and vetted coaches who are dedicated to making sure they have the best time, while they also enjoy learning the fundamentals of exercise, teamwork and respect.

£4 per session - First visit is free
The Ultimate Flag League wants to be as inclusive as possible so we have made our sessions as cost effective as we can. Each child pays only £4 for a practice or game and for this you get fully qualified coaching, all equipment provided and a safe place for your little linebacker or quarterback to have fun.
In addition, there are places for you to stay warm, dry and have a cuppa, maybe something to eat from the food counter and meet up with other parents for a chat. You can even catch up on your emails with the free WiFi
Qualified Coaching
NGB Accredited Coaches
Our coaches have all passed American Football courses accredited by our National Governing Body and have enhanced background checks. The coaches are all volunteers, overseen by a full time Academy manager from Leeds Becket University's Carnegie faculty of sport.
The athletes all practice and play fixtures on the Campus's artificial turf surfaces

The Academy is an active supporter of the This Girl Can scheme and we have female players competing alongside males through all our age groupings, from 5 through to 19.
We also know from experience that children of any shape, size or ability can contribute in the UFL, with our coaches recognising and assisting anyone who may be struggling and encouraging all their team mates to pull together and perform as a unit. No person is ever left out or left behind with our Draft system enabling a level playing field.
